Version 2026-10-27

Felag terms of service and licence

Draft for review by an Australian lawyer; not yet in force. Version 2026-10-27. Placeholders in square brackets are for the operator to complete.

These terms are between you and [Felag Pty Ltd / entity name] (ABN [ABN]), called Felag. They cover the Felag website, app, hosted runtime, API and MCP server (together, the service) and every automation you install through it. Automations are made by third-party makers under the maker agreement. Felag is the marketplace and the runtime, not the author of the automations.

You accept these terms when you buy, join, top up or install. The version you accepted is recorded against your account with the date, a hashed IP address and a hashed device signature.

1. Who you are

  1. Just me. You are an individual using Felag for your own work. Your licences are personal and cannot be transferred.
  2. My company. You act for an organisation. You confirm you are authorised to bind it. Its licences belong to the organisation, and seats can be reassigned among its members by an owner or admin.
  3. You must be 18 or older, and the service is for business and professional use. It is not offered to consumers for personal, domestic or household purposes.

2. Account

  • You sign in with a one-time email link. Keep your email account secure; anyone with it can act as you.
  • API keys and licence keys you create are secrets. You are responsible for what is done with them until you revoke them in the app.
  • One account per person. Organisations may have any number of members.

3. What you are buying

Prices are shown before you pay, in the currency displayed at checkout. For buyers in Australia, GST is included where it applies and shown on your invoice. [Lawyer: confirm the GST treatment of the membership and of maker sales where Felag acts as agent.]

4. The licence

Each installed automation is licensed to you (or your organisation) for the seats you hold, for as long as your membership or standalone term is paid. The licence lets you install, run and update that listing's current and future versions through Felag, inside your own operations. It does not let you copy, resell, sublicense, publish or extract the automation's core, remove its licence watermark, or use it to build a competing listing. Each served copy carries three unique phrases that identify your licence; a copy found elsewhere is traced to you.

A listing's maker may name a successor listing. You may move your licence to the successor at no extra cost; the old listing keeps working for your paid period.

5. Run modes

  • Hosted (default). The automation runs on Felag's runtime. Your connected tools and keys are referenced from the vaults and handed to the run for its duration only. Runs are paid from your credits. A run that would take your balance below zero pauses and asks you to top up. Nothing runs on credit.
  • In your own Claude (advanced). The automation installs as a plugin inside Anthropic's own clients (Claude Code or Cowork) on your own Anthropic subscription or key. You must hold and comply with Anthropic's terms and usage policy. Anthropic does not permit consumer subscriptions to be used through third-party harnesses; Felag's own-Claude mode runs inside Anthropic's clients and reaches Felag only through the Felag MCP server. Felag charges no credits in this mode and has no custody of your inference.

6. Connections, keys and sign-offs

  • You connect your tools once, through the connections vault (Nango), and store API keys once, through the secrets vault (Infisical). Felag stores a reference, a masked tail and a keyed fingerprint, never the secret.
  • You are responsible for having the right to connect each account and for what the automation is allowed to do inside it. Granting a connection is your instruction to let listed automations use it within their declared footprint.
  • Sign-offs ("ask me before") are yours. Every listing declares the actions it will stop and ask about, with thresholds you can adjust at install. The runtime enforces exactly what you configured and nothing more. If you switch a sign-off off, the automation acts without asking. In regulated roles some sign-offs cannot be switched off (see regulated roles).
  • A sign-off request waits for you in the app. Approving it is your decision. Rejecting it stops that action.

7. What automations are, and are not

  • An automation performs a job the way its maker designed it, using a language model. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check what matters before you rely on it.
  • Nothing an automation produces is legal, tax, accounting, financial, medical or other professional advice, and no automation is a substitute for a registered professional where the law requires one. You remain the decision-maker and the party responsible for every action taken in your accounts, every message sent and every filing made.
  • Every listing is scanned and tested before it is listed and ranked on verified results. That reduces risk; it does not remove it.

8. Your responsibilities

You must use the service lawfully and in line with the acceptable use policy. In particular you must:

  • hold the consents and rights needed for any personal information an automation processes on your behalf, and comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and, for marketing messages, the Spam Act 2003;
  • not use an automation to make decisions the law reserves to a person or a registered professional without that person in the loop;
  • not probe, copy, scrape or reverse engineer listings, the runtime or other buyers' data;
  • not create accounts, seats or runs to influence rankings or maker payouts (see section 12).

9. Refunds and consumer guarantees

  • Standalone purchases: a full refund on request within 14 days of payment if the seat has run 25 times or fewer. Past that, an admin reviews the request and decides within the dispute window.
  • Membership: cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period; no refund for the part of a period already started, except where the law requires.
  • Credits: unused credits are not refunded as cash except where the law requires or Felag closes your account for reasons other than your breach.
  • Australian Consumer Law. If the Australian Consumer Law applies to a purchase, you have guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services are provided with due care and skill and are fit for a disclosed purpose. Nothing in these terms limits those guarantees. The refund policy above sits on top of them, never below. Where the ACL permits, Felag's liability for a failure of a guarantee is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply.

10. Service levels

  • Felag aims to run the service continuously and publishes its targets in the service levels page. Those targets are commitments to act, not warranties, except as the ACL requires.
  • If a hosted run fails because of a Felag fault, the credits it consumed are returned automatically. That is the sole remedy for a failed run, except under the ACL.
  • Felag may suspend the service or a listing for security, legal or operational reasons. Felag will say why, as soon as it can.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject always to section 9:

  1. Felag is not liable for the actions an automation takes in your accounts, for the content it produces, or for decisions you or others make in reliance on it. The maker designed it; you configured and approved it.
  2. Felag is not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business, or for indirect or consequential loss.
  3. Felag's total liability to you in any 12 months is capped at the amount you paid Felag in those 12 months.
  4. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, to Felag's fraud, or to Felag's breach of the privacy policy.

12. Indemnity and misuse

You indemnify Felag against claims, losses and costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, from your breach of these terms or the acceptable use policy, from the personal information you choose to process, and from any attempt to manipulate rankings or payouts. Accounts, seats or runs created to influence rankings or payouts are closed, the use is excluded from maker payouts, and amounts obtained may be clawed back.

13. Suspension and termination

  • You may cancel at any time in the app. Removal of an automation is one action; your connections and keys stay yours.
  • Felag may suspend or close your account for breach of these terms or the acceptable use policy, for non-payment, for fraud or security reasons, or where required by law. Felag gives notice and a reason unless the law or a live security incident prevents it.
  • On closure, your licences end, hosted runs stop, and your connections and variables are deleted from the vaults within 30 days. Records Felag must keep for tax, fraud and legal reasons are kept for the periods in the privacy policy.

14. Changes

Felag may change these terms. Material changes are announced in the app at least 30 days before they take effect, and you are asked to accept the new version before your next purchase, renewal or top-up. If you do not agree, cancel before the change takes effect. [Lawyer: review this and every unilateral variation, suspension and indemnity clause against the unfair contract terms regime for small business standard form contracts.]

15. Disputes and law

  • Raise a problem first through support in the app; Felag answers within the times in the service levels page.
  • Disputes about a maker's listing (copying, defects) follow the dispute process in the maker agreement; you may be asked for evidence.
  • These terms are governed by the law of [State], Australia, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction, without limiting your rights to bring a claim under the ACL where you live.
