Your first week
Day one: install one automation, connect what it needs, keep every sign-off on. Run a job by hand and read what it did.
Day three: check the Runs list. Corrected runs are normal early on; the automation learns your details from the answers you gave in setup, not from your data.
Day seven: switch off the sign-offs you no longer want, leave the ones that touch money. Rate it. Your review is weighted by how long you used it.
