What it asks you first
Each automation declares the steps that matter: sending a claim, paying a supplier, emailing a customer list. Those are sign-offs. You choose on install which ones need your approval, and the thresholds.
When a run reaches one, it stops and the request appears under My automations. Approve and it continues. Reject and nothing happens.
The ones the maker marks as required cannot be switched off.
